Julia Karkheck Ross
About Me!
My name is Julia Karkheck Ross. I am sixteen years old. I like to express myself through photography. I like to express happiness through my work. I consider myself a happy person, and I love making other people smile.
My favourite thing to take pictures of is the sun. I love being able to capture all the different colours of the sky during a sunset or sunrise. I love sharing the photos I capture to show others the beauty of simple things. Like a sunset.
When I graduate from high school, I plan to have a career in the photography business. Another plan I have if that doesn't work out is to be a baker. I love to bake and decorate cakes and cupcakes. I have done a few cakes for my own and family members' birthdays. Photography and baking are definetly my greatest passions.
Currently, I attend Stratford Northwestern Secondary School. In my free time I like to spend time with my friends and family, taking pictures, baking, and I also keep myself busy with my job as a cashier. I love being able to interact with customers, and meeting new people everyday.
I took a Media Arts class to explore all the different ways of expressing myself in my artwork with photoshop. I draw my inspiration from nature. Nature is beautiful and I love capturing the beauty of it through photography. I think the thing that motivates me to take my camera outside to take a picture is just seeing something pretty outside and wondering how I could capture the same thing in a camera. My ultimate goal is to make another person smile, and if someone smiles from looking at my work, that motivates me as well, to continue taking pictures.
